The Kilomodo team has been working non-stop to launch our newest version of the platform.
In this new release we have officially entered our BETA and rolled out new features that will take your workout tracking to the next level.
One of the most significant features will now help athletes keep track of their Skill & Strength workouts. We have added the ability for the athlete to keep track of workouts that include:
Sets & Reps
Which include your typical 5×5, 10/8/6/4 rep schemes or any other scheme you can think of.
Find Rep Max
Which will record all of your max efforts for a certain movement.
Find Max Reps
Which will help you determine the max number of reps you can perform for a certain movement.
Adding support for these new types of workouts also opens new possibilities as far as metrics go. All of the work performed in these workouts will be tallied up into your Dashboard and will also enter your Top Movements and PR pages.
Speaking of PRs, we will automatically detect your PRs. All named (well known, heroes, girls, CFG, benchmark) workouts will be checked for AND all workouts that you have performed more than once will also be evaluated for potential PRs.
PRs will also be added to individual movements. All workouts with an effort of 100%, doesn’t matter how many reps, after scored, will be evaluated for PRs. If you login and you don’t see any Movement PRs, you can manually enter them so that the next time a 100% effort workout is prescribed, your weight will already be determined, so no need to check and see what you did last time.
We have added some tools for you to predict some of your potential Rep Maxes. We are using the Epley formula to calculate these. You can explore this data by going to your PR page, clicking on any of the new Movement PRs you have – remember you can add them manually!
On the social front we have added some activity feed items showing who your friends are following (people and boxes). We have also added the ability for you to invite some of your friends to Kilomodo and to make it even easier for them to sign up we opened up Facebook login. You can find the INVITE A FRIEND functionality under the CONNECTIONS page. Once you do connect with your friends, make sure to take a peak at their dashboard – see how you compare to them!
These are just a few of the new improvements we have made int he last month. Below is a list of more features we released. Feel free to check them all out and if you do have suggestions for us on what to build next, feel free to put them up for voting HERE.
